    ANCC Dive Team Weekly Update

    July 5th

    Greetings!

    Please read to the end, as there are a few goings on in Dive this week.

    Practices will run on the regular schedule.  

    MONDAY: Sammie tie dye will take place on the lawn adjacent to the pool during practice time. Divers can go to practice and then come over to tie dye (use the upper gate, the lower gate will not be open) or vice versa. Differentiate your sammie from all of the other sammies on the pool deck!  Make sure to bring your sammie (or t-shirt if you like), as I will not likely have extras, but let me know if you have not received your sammie yet this season.

    WEDNESDAY: Team photo at 12:30 PM between the practices.  We will assemble on the boards unless its too darn hot.  In that case, we will assemble in the shade under the upper deck.  ALSO, we have a HOME meet vs. Congo on Wednesday night.  Please update your diver's availability for this meet.  Warm ups will start at 4:30 and the meet will start at 6:00 PM.  I still need one judge for the early part of the meet, please.  

    Kenwood Country Club will host this year's Synchro Fun Meet and B Meet on Sunday, July 12th.  Warm ups start at 8:00 AM.  B Meet begins at 8:30 AM and Synchro will start immediately following (approximately 9:30 AM).

    SYNCHRONIZED DIVING MEET - NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!  This is a fun (and sometimes silly) meet - each team gets two rounds of dives and will be judged on both EXECUTION and SYNCHRONIZATION. Judging will be done by the coaches. This will be done on paper dive sheets that can be filled out that morning (or in advance). The meet should be done by 11:00 am.

    Encourage your divers to dress alike with any fun costumes, bathing suits, etc. and create a theme.

    The B part of this meet is offered to divers who will need a third meet to qualify for Champs. Please consult with Coach Anita on whether your diver should be entered into entered into the B meet.
