CCSDA Dive Judges Training
Welcome to the ANCC dive team for 2026! I will send out a comprehensive pre-season email once registration is finalized, but I wanted to send out some information about judge training so you can plan ahead.
The Country Club Swim and Dive Association relies on parent volunteers to act as judges in regular season dual meets. All judges must complete the training course provided by the league every two years in order to judge in meets. Please consider becoming a trained judge.
The judging course provides an introduction to diving, including categories of dives, positions, overview of dive numbers, jumps and skills, and statements of dives. The judging section will include an introduction to overall impression, the elements of a dive, elements to ignore, identifying sources of bias, the point scale, and tips for success in judging. Participants will then have the opportunity to judge dives and receive feedback on the pool deck. CCSDA by-laws also consider those who attend another league in person training (e.g., NVSL) in the current year and provide documentation or those who can provide certification or documentation of training and/or qualifications from another league or school (winter league, high school, etc.) current within two years to be qualified. If this is you, please let me know and we will put you on the list of qualified judges. If you took the judges training in 2024, you will need to take it again this year.

Thank you for considering becoming a judge. Please let me know if you have any questions.
