Greetings!

Here is what's happening in Dive this week.  

Starting this week, the dive practice schedule will shift 15 minutes later 11:45 AM - 1:45 PM.

Monday: Practice 11:45 AM - 1:45 PM and then we hit the road for our meet at Bethesda Country Club (7601 Bradley Blvd, Bethesda, MD 20817) Warmups are at 5:30 PM and we hope to begin promptly at 6:00 PM.  Please RSVP in Swimtopia or let the coaches (or me) know if your diver will NOT be at the meet.  For anyone who has not been to this club before, stay to the left as you approach the club house, go through the tunnel and park in the lower parking lot.  I have received the following information from our friends at Bethesda "Though our restaurants are closed on Mondays, food will be available poolside at the Cabana Bar, with a full menu available to order until last call at 6:30pm. Our club has said they will then have a limited menu available at the Cabana Bar until 8pm. Volunteers who work at the meet can get complimentary nonalcoholic beverages at the bar (just let the server know)."  Speaking of volunteers, please take a look at Swimtopia, as I believe we need more judges.  

Tuesday: Practice 11:45 AM - 1:45 PM

Wednesday: Practice 11:45 AM - 1:45 PM and then we will hit the road again, but not too far, for our meet at Washington Golf and Country Club (3017 N Glebe Rd, Arlington, VA 22207).  Again, please let us know if you know for sure that your diver will not be at this meet.  If you have not been to this club before, the pool entrance is to the right of the main clubhouse from the parking lot.  If there is no parking in the main lot, there is parking across the street at the tennis center with a pedestrian tunnel to cross under the road.  Warmups are at 5:30 PM and the meet will start at 6:00 PM.  Expect this meet to be a bit long as this is a meet between the two largest teams in the league.  And judges?  Yes, please!

Thursday: Practice 11:45 AM - 1:45 PM

Friday: Practice 11:45 AM - 1:45 PM It is also Fun Friday, which means tie dye this week.  If you happen to have missed sammie tie dye last week, you have another opportunity to differentiate your sammie from all of the other sammies!  Make sure to bring your sammie (or t-shirt if you like).

I'm not going to lie; the weather is looking very iffy this entire week.  Please keep your fingers crossed that the skies stay clear for our meets.  Should that not be the case, the make ups will likely take place on July 14th and 21st. 

Moving on, we have our Synchro Fun meet on Sunday morning, so no practice.  I hope to see lots of pairs signing up to participate!

Looking ahead: our last home meet of the season will take place on the 16th when will also be honoring our graduating seniors, Arissona Winn and Hamilton Ridenhour.
