Happy Sunday Lovers of the Lanes,

We inch ever closer to everyone being out of school, getting to our regular practice schedule, and having a full meet week. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the sun deck last Thursday for our parent social. It was great to see some young old faces and meet some new faces alike. This week's big event will be Friday night with our Blue-Gold Time Trials. So let's get to the week at hand:

Practice Schedule

We are still on the same practice schedule through Thursday this week. 11&Older swimmers from 4-5PM and 10&U swimmers from 5-5:45PM. For all pool closing information as soon as it happens make sure to sign up for Aquatics text updates by texting ANCCAQUATICS to 38316. We will make sure to send out any and all practice changes out via Swimtopia as necessary so there is no need to call the aquatics desk or email.

Meet Sign Up

This is your first chance to do meet sign up this season. Here are some important notes about meet sign ups:

• Most meets this season will ask you simply to mark your swimmer(s) as 'Available' or 'Not Available'. This meet is one that asks you to enter events for your swimmers. This is our time trials meet, which means that swimmers should sign up for all events they are capable of swimming.
• Please make sure to be aware of deadlines for meet sign ups. It is imperative to the coaching staff being able to put together the lineup and getting that posted. Last minute changes are difficult and are not always possible. The deadline for Blue-Gold is Wednesday evening at 5:00PM.
• On the other side of that same coin, please make sure if you sign your swimmer up for a meet, that you are committed to attending that meet. We have a very large team and having empty lanes or missing members of relays makes for time and consternation that is not needed on meet evenings. Obviously if there are inevitable issues that arise and your swimmer is unable to attend a meet they originally signed up for make sure to let us know immediately via email.
• All meets are currently open for sign ups. The deadline for next Tuesday's B meet vs. Lakewood CC and Fort Meyer is on Sunday evening, June 16th. 

Blue-Gold Time Trials 

Friday, June 14th -- 5:15PM Warm Up -- 5:45PM Meet Start

Our first meet of the season will be an intra-squad time trial meet this Friday. Swimmers will compete in all individual events they are capable of swimming (yes, even the ones they don't want to do). The meet should move quickly and we will have time afterward to socialize and celebrate like we do best. There will be a buffet dinner provided and set up during the meet for all to enjoy.
