Happy Father's Day to everyone. We have a full week ahead and plenty to get to, so here's the week:

Monday

T-Shirts: If you were not at our Fun Friday practice (first of all, get your priorities together) and did not get your team shirt please let the coaches know at practice so that we can get you your swag. We will finish handing out t-shirts to registered team members throughout the week. 

Kenwood Meet Entries: Keep your eyes peeled for the finalized meet lineup on Monday night. I will usually send out the meet lineup for dual meets the night before the meet. Obviously, if there are any issues or changes in plans please let the coaching staff know ASAP. As I have mentioned we have a large team and any empty lanes at meets are a missed opportunity for one of our swimmers to participate.

Tuesday - 'A' Dual Meet @ Kenwood CC

Entries for this meet closed as of 9PM tonight. Everyone that marked themselves as available will be entered in the meet. No changes to availability can be made at this point. Now on to the details of the meet:

Where: The meet will be at Kenwood Country Club (5601 River Rd, Bethesda, MD 20816). The meet was originally scheduled to be hosted at Army Navy due to Montgomery County COVID restrictions, but those have all been lifted, so the meet will go on at Kenwood.

When: Warm-Ups -- 5:40PM, Meet Start -- 6:10PM

We will be getting in the water at 5:40PM. Traffic can always be a bit wonky in the afternoons when crossing the river so please allow yourself extra time and plan to arrive prior to 5:40PM.

What: Kenwood has been our closest meet over the past 5 seasons and I would expect nothing less. We did not beat Kenwood for about 20 years (a period in which they won 16 straight CCSDA championships) until 2017 and we have not lost to them since. It's a great way to start off our competitive meet season that will have close races across the board. So get your pump-up mixes together (see Regan McGinley if you need help) get some rest on Monday night and come ready to race on Tuesday evening!

Food and Beverage: Kenwood will not have a buffet or dinner after the meet. They will have food and beverage service in their snack bar throughout the meet. 

Meet Entry Deadline for Congressional Meet: The entry deadline for the Congressional meet on Thursday will be at 9PM Tuesday night. You can make your availability known at any point between now and then.

Wednesday

Nothing of note on Wednesday, but probably should be a fun day anyway.

Thursday - 'A' Dual Meet @ Congressional CC

Who: This meet is open to all Swim Team members who make themselves available for the meet. 

Where: Congressional Country Club - 8500 River Rd, Bethesda, MD. After you enter the main gate you will follow the road to the left of the clubhouse and all the way down to the end of the parking lot. The pool facility will be on your right at the end of the parking lot.

When: Warm-Ups - 5:45PM, Meet Start - 6:30PM

What: Congo has been a stalwart of the A Division for well over a decade. They have been quite solidly placed in the 4th position for a while. They have a new coach this year and will surely come out blazing. We will need to make sure to put them in their place. 

Food and Beverage: Congressional will have a Classic Italian Pasta Dinner on their Great Lawn starting at 8PM. The cost will be $20 for adults and $12 for children under 12. 

Friday

Fun Friday: Swim team will have our regular full team practice form 8:30-10AM. Following our practice from 10-11AM we will join up with our dive team counterparts to take part in the first of 3 team Olympic-style events for the summer. Swimmers will be split up into teams led by our seniors to compete in some fun events. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us.
