ANCC 2020 Swim Team Experience

To All ANCC Members,

We started our ANCC Swim Team Experience this week at our Olympic Pool in Arlington, beginning with clinics for our 9&O swimmers. We filled up quickly with swimmers participating in morning and evening sessions. Now that we are heading into Phase Two of opening across Northern Virginia, we will be enhancing our swim team experience. Details below:

ANCC 2020 Swim Team Experience: Monday, June 8^th to Friday, August 14th

Swim Clinic Time Window: 9:00am to 10:15am

Clinic Schedule (two distinct groups based on skill level):

• Monday and Wednesday
• Tuesday and Thursday

Frequency of swimmers attending clinics: The goal is to have every swimmer attend two/per week on either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs. Every swimmer will be assigned a set schedule for the season.

Participation Requirements: Open to all swimmers 7 years of age and older who are proficient in the water and able to swim 50 meters/2 laps of the pool (freestyle and backstroke) unassisted and without stopping. This is not a “learn to swim” experience. We will have 1:1 lessons with our coaches available starting soon. More information forthcoming on our lessons program. If you have questions about your child’s ability to participate, please reach out for guidance.

Team “virtual” socials and events: Friday FunDay

*Cost: $150/full season

*If you have already signed up for the swim team experience this season and would like to continue, no action needed. Your reservation will roll over to the full season. Billing for swim team will take place at the end of June/early July.

For those registered by Friday night, expect season information to be emailed over the weekend. This information will include:

• Clinic schedule specific to your swimmer
• Check in procedures
• Dept. of Health and CDC guidelines and requirements

If you would like to purchase additional 2020 team t-shirts or latex caps, please email Wendy Wilson by Sunday (June 14^th). Include: quantity, sizes for each shirt, and member number.
