Greetings, Army Navy Swim Team parents!

Summer swim team has begun and everyone is looking forward to another successful Army Navy season. The coaches and kids are working hard at the practices. We need parents to work hard, too! 😊

About 45 parent volunteers are needed to run each dual meet. There are many different volunteer opportunities. No experience is necessary for many of the roles. Please plan to help out for at least 2-3 meets during the season. The best place to view the meet is on deck!

The volunteer signups are now available on SwimTopia. I know many people travel during the season, so check your calendars now so you can make sure you have time to help out. PLEASE USE THE SWIMTOPIA WEBSITE TO VOLUNTEER! Just click on the Job Signup link next to each meet on the calendar and choose your role. This helps us know who will be on deck to help out for each meet. Ideally, we would like signups completed a few days before each meet. For some meets, I do not have the signups pre-populated. As soon as I know which roles we need to cover, I will populate the job sign-up on the website for these meets.

The volunteer roles are for swim team parents. Junior swim team parents do not need to volunteer at dual meets unless your child has been specifically advised to move up and swim at a meet. The squirt gun meet is a meet in which some of our junior swim team members will participate. More info will be shared about this at a later date. We will need junior swim parents to volunteer at this meet – if their child is participating.

On Monday, July 29 and Tuesday, July 30, Army Navy will host the CCSDA Swim Championships. Elaine Dudley and Wendy Wilson have worked hard since last summer planning this event with their Champs committee. Please plan to attend and show your support for our team. This is a really fun event for the kids and we will need lots of help to ensure a successful meet. We will have more info on volunteer opportunities for this in a few weeks.
