Good Evening Everyone,

We've made it through another Blue-Gold Meet (our first Saturday!) and are ready to really kick things off fo' real this week. Please take the time to read through all that we have planned for the week.

Monday, June 18th

Morning Practice Schedule

First day of our morning practice schedule. As a reminder the schedule goes as follows (please remember that these age ranges are merely a guide and your swimmer may be better suited at a different time, if you have questions, just ask):

8:15-10:00AM -- 11&Older experienced swim team members

9:45-10:30AM -- Junior Team

10:00-11:00AM -- 10&Under, experienced 8-under, and new 11-12 swimmers

11:00-11:45AM -- 8&Unders

1:00-1:30PM -- Stroke Clinic (Mondays Only)

4:00-5:00PM -- Make-up Practice (Mondays and Wednesdays Only)

Stroke Clinic

We will hold our first stroke clinic of the season tomorrow from 1-1:30PM in the Olympic Pool. These clinics are offered to Swim Team members of all skill levels. The coaches will mold the specifics of the clinic to the level of swimmers that are in attendance. Tomorrow's Stroke Clinic will focus on starts.

Tuesday, June 19th

Tuesday at 9:00PM is the deadline to sign up for the meet at Congressional on Thursday. Just like Blue-Gold, your swimmer will not be entered in the meet unless they are marked as attending the meet. Unlike Blue-Gold, if you forget I will not have as much leeway to get your swimmer entered on deck at the meet. Tuesday night at 9:00PM is the cutoff so that I am able to get the lineups in and posted in a timely manner.

No-Shows

Please do not sign up and then decide not to show up. If you do mark your swimmer as attending you are committed to coming to the meet. We understand if something comes up and you are not able to attend after Tuesday, but it is imperative that you let the coaching staff know. It does not just affect your swimmer if they do not show up. They may be entered in relays or events that other swimmers would have the opportunity to swim as long as we know your child will not be coming. 

Wednesday, June 20th

School's Out Luau

From 12:30-1:30PM on the Dive Inn deck we will be hosting our first swim team social of the season. All members of the Swim Team and Junior Team are welcome to join in the festivities in their best Hawaiian garb. Refreshments will be served, hula's will be hooped, and contests will be had. It will be a great way to celebrate everyone (finally) being done with school for the summer.

Thursday, June 21st

Swim Meet @ Congressional

Our first dual meet of the season will take place on Thursday evening against our heated rival Congo. This meet is for all swim team members who are marked as attending in SwimTopia. Warm-ups will begin at 5:50PM and the meet will begin at 6:30PM at Congressional Country Club. All swimmers should arrive on deck at Congressional by 5:30PM. Congressional will be setting up a dinner buffet for after the meet, so plan to stick around and hang out afterward. 

Volunteers

Even though we are not hosting the meet on Thursday, we do still need parent volunteers to help out to make the meet run smoothly. Please make sure to sign up if you plan to be at the meet. You can sign up through Swimtopia by clicking the 'Job Signup' button on the Calendar.
