Good Evening Parents,

Welcome to swim season! I know many of you are still finishing up school and have not gotten into the full swing of your summer club ways yet, however we are in full swing and it is time to get down to business. I will be sending out emails on Sunday nights throughout the season in order to bring you up to date on the events and happenings to come for the swim team. Some can get a bit lengthy, but please take the time to peruse the whole thing so as not to miss anything. So just make sure to look for these on Monday morning to get yourself ready for all we have planned.

Practices:

We are still in afternoon-mode as far as practices are concerned this week while most of us are still in school (coaches included!). Swim Team practices will start at 4:00PM each afternoon and Junior Team practices will start at 4:45PM. We know that many are not able to come right at 4:00 due to school schedules, but please feel free to come when you can and we will get your swimmer in the water whenever they arrive. Even if it is just for the very end of practice we will be playing the name game to finish up this week to make sure everyone gets a chance to meet the rest of the team.

Blue-Gold Kickoff Meet:

This coming Saturday morning, June 16th will be the annual Blue-Gold Kickoff Meet. It is a little different this year than in years past. In trying to give Father's Day back to the dads we have moved the meet to the Saturday morning prior. Here's all you need to know:

When: Warm-ups @ 7:30AM, First even @ 8:00AM, Approximate Finish @ 11:30AM

Where: Arlington Olympic Pool

What: Time trials meet where every swimmer will swim all events in order to get a baseline for entries for the season. Then stick around afterward for Cannonball Contest (word is, the coaches may participate).

Who: All Swim and Junior Team participants who have confirmed their attendance via Swimtopia.

That last little part is important. We will enter all swimmers who have positively confirmed their attendance at the meet, otherwise they will not be entered. You can do this by logging in at ANCC.SwimTopia.com and clicking on the Schedule tab to find the meet. The deadline to respond is Thursday, June 14th @ 9:00PM.

There will be an early lunch buffet set up starting at 10:45AM the day of the meet for all to partake. The cost will be $16 for adults and children 12 or older, $13 for children 5-11, and free for for children 4 or younger.
